I have recently been involved in some conceptual work for schools.
The first being a primary school and developing a scheme and concept for an adaptable space that could primarily be used as a dining hall during lunch time, yet flexible enough to be used for other activities at all times. An innovate mix of flexible furniture and space was used to create an ideal solution.
The second scheme was for an Arts and Media College, we were asked to create a concept in order for the head teacher to get his aspirations across to his project team. The main spaces we were involved with were the dining space and library.
In the dining space we used a mix of furniture styles to create a contemporary inviting space for pupils to relax and communicate in.
The library space needed to facilitate a number of functions in a quiet enviroment. The use of clever storage and flexible furniture was shown to create an adaptable space.
